Over the course of the past few weeks, Mu Cang Chai Town (Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai Province) was devastated by torrential rains and floods. In addition to causing a great deal of damage to people and property, the floods also destroyed many natural landscapes and some tourism projects in this beautiful tourist town.
After the floods were withdrawn, Yen Bai Province instructed related departments to coordinate with Mu CangChai District to solve environmental sanitation issues, restore infrastructure so that people could soon return to their normal, and continue to implement economic activities, including tourism.
From 21st to 27th September, Mu Cang Chai District will organize Culture Tourism Week and National Landscape Festival with many attractive cultural activities themed “Golden waves on the terraces”.
This event will have many activities such as: fighting goat contest; The second time Muong pan-pipe contest in Mu Cang Chai District; Paragliding festival named “Flying on the golden season” – the fifth anniversary of paragliding activities at the Khau Pha Pass; Highland market; Photo exhibition “Mu Cang Chai – Tourism features”; Movie show, library mobile car introducing Yen Bai’s images, history, culture of ethnic groups in the district and community tourism activities…
