Situated in An Son Commune, Kien Hai District, Kien Giang Province, about 250km from Ho Chi Minh City, Nam Du is the farthest off-grid archipelago in the locality with 21 tropical islets and islands. However, there are only 11 islands inhabited by people, for instance, Cu Tron Island, Ngang Island, Mau Island and etc. Others untouched islands such as Nom Island, Dau Island and Dung Island are surrounded by unspoilt nature, a hassle-free ambience and a few dozen households, conjuring a truly peaceful and tranquil picture.
Nam Du has you falling head over heels with its heavenly islands. Your trip will not be complete without visiting Hon Lon (Big Island). Covering an area of 771 hectares and inhabited by 5,000 islanders, it is the largest island in An Son Commune. Aside from comprising an array of picture-postcard natural landscapes including Chet Beach, Co Beach, Ngu Beach and Gieng Beach, you will have the chance to experience the exhilarating coastal life.
Mau Island is a paradise destination in Nam Du thanks to its enormous potential for tourism development. The rainy season is from April to November, so you should consider carefully avoiding the storms.

From Rach Gia, you can only travel by speedboat to reach Nam Du in two hours. You can depart at 8.15 am or 12.15 pm and the price costs VND 210,000. Alternatively, if you want to marvel at the natural surroundings en route, you can also travel by boat at the price of VND100,000.
