Disneyland Resort – Where and When?

The Disneyland Resort, or commonly known as Disneyland, is an entertainment resort in Anaheim, California. It is home to two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, three hotels, and a shopping, dining, and entertainment district known as Downtown Disney. 

This Christmas is the ideal time to take your family to Disneyland to experience the most magical time of year with celebrations throughout both parks. The festival of holidays is open from November 12, 2021 to January 9, 2022. Let’s take a look at some of the celebrations.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

 

Located in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure Park, Disney ¡Viva Navidad! includes 3 main activities where you can explore more of this fairy land, enjoy the seasonal sights and revel in authentic holiday music, dance, décor and a dash of Disney magic.

Sneak peaking at Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party featuring exuberant performances; Three Kings’ Day, or El Día de los Reyes Magos in Central and South America as well as Mexico, featuring traditional décor and a photo opportunity for families; welcoming Mirabel from Disney’s Encanto with live entertainment, photo opportunities and special appearances by Mirabel, the young hero from the film; and dazzling décor and delicious delicacies at Paradise Gardens “decking the halls” with colorful papel picado banners, piñatas and a flurry of festive fun.

Festive Foods Marketplace

Another reason to stop by Disney California Adventure Park is to discover a world of delectable possibilities throughout the Festive Foods Marketplace and share in cultural celebrations through food at various locations. Apart from that, the fascinating promotion program Sip and Savor Pass is available for your family to get the most holiday cheer out of the Disney Festival of Holidays.

Santa’s Holiday Visit at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Entertainment located in Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure Park will give you a chance to see the jolly old elf himself and participate in a flurry of fun holiday activities. This will definitely be kids’ most favourite place since they get to say hello to Santa, so make sure you don’t miss the merry-making cause Santa and his band of clever elves have arrived for their annual visit and you’re invited!

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail has been transformed into a holly, jolly, joy-filled playground, so stop by Ahwahnee Camp Circle near the trail’s entrance to see Santa Claus, wave hello, snap some pics and tell him how good you’ve been all year. You can also test your skills through taking part in exciting games. Explore different sections of the trail and discover how many decorations and toys have been hidden along the way.

Mater’s Jingle Jamboree – Jingle All the Way

There’s no other better way to enjoy a haul-iday than spinning in a tractor through Mater’s festively decorated junkyard in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park. Whirl through Mater’s collection of car parts in a cute lil’ tractor as he croons classic holiday tunes with some tow-riffic original lyrics.

Attraction is open to all ages but requires height above 32” (81cm) so be careful and double check before letting your young ones go in.

Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl – Make the Holidays Wheel-y Fun

Swing into holiday mode by taking a merry spin around Luigi’s decked-out backyard in Cars Land. Luigi and his extended family of roadsters are celebrating the season in style with festive dances to tunes crooned by Luigi himself! Take a seat in a classic Italian import and enjoy the ride as the cars cruise to the music. All ages are allowed with the minimum height of 32” (81cm)

Buena Vista Street Holiday Tree Lighting – A Tradition to Treasure

Come to Buena Vista Street to witness the wonder as our magnificent  50-foot tree is illuminated in dazzling splendor. You can join in the plaza outside Elias & Co., where holiday cheer and festive décor abound. Then, watch in wonder as the towering tree twinkles to life with a kaleidoscope of colored lights, hundreds of whimsical ornaments and swags of gleaming garland. It’s sure to warm your heart and make your spirits extra bright!

Disney Merriest Nites – 6 Holiday Parties in One

Join the fun at 6 holiday parties as Mickey Mouse and friends host all-new holiday after-hours events at Disneyland Park on select nights in November and December 2021. The classic holiday favorites have some new twists this year! Mickey Mouse has invited many of his friends to host 6 themed parties throughout Disneyland Park on select nights so you can celebrate the season in a merry new way.

In the grand finale, wave hello to Santa Claus himself. It’s a Christmas fantasy you’ll never forget! Remember to arrive early to find the best-possible viewing spot—especially if you plan to see the show along Main Street, U.S.A.

“it’s a small world” Holiday – An Exuberant Holiday Experience

Located in Fantasyland, the holiday celebrates the splendor of the season with a festive yuletide take on this classic attraction, during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. The enchantment begins as you approach the iconic façade, which is adorned with thousands of shimmering lights for the season. 

Set sail along a wondrous wintry waterway transformed with whimsical décor, you will be able to behold jubilant regional adornments all along your world tour of good cheer, listen as the costumed chorus of children sings the classic “It’s a Small World (After All)” song and traditional holiday tunes, listen for the South Sea mermaids who sing “Jingle Shells” and leave a plate of fish for Santa.

“Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks Spectacular – Enchantment Is in the Air

Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle – An Enchanting Seasonal Transformation

During the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, you will get to behold a wondrous holiday transformation during the most magical time of year as Sleeping Beauty Castle is decked out in icicles, wreaths and festive décor. Each evening, take your kids and gather to see the iconic edifice shimmer to life. As snow falls and music fills the air, watch thousands of twinkling lights illuminated in stages. It’s a truly breathtaking sight!

Haunted Mansion Holiday – Decked Out for the Hallow-Days

Located in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park, the Haunted Mansion has been decorated by Pumpkin King Jack Skellington with frightfully festive touches inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. From table to top, the 2021 Haunted Mansion Gingerbread creation is the tallest gingerbread design, architecturally. Thank you, “Sandy Claws!”.

It’s the 20th Season Skellebration of Christmas and Halloween colliding which gives you a great opportunity to tour the estate’s merry macabre makeover and meet some real holiday spirits. Here, you can experience thrilling sights and seasonal surprises created by the citizens of Halloween Town. Sally, Oogie Boogie and other Nightmare nasties will be on hand to wish you “Season’s Screamings!”
