The Jal Mahal, or Water Palace, is the fort’s principal attraction. This palace, which features unusual architecture, was built on a small island in the center of Lake Maotha using white sandstone.

The Shish Mahal, commonly known as the Palace of Mirrors, is another feature of the fort. Erected of white marble and featuring wonderful mirrors that reflect light, the palace was once utilized as a royal home.

The Diwan-i-Aam, or Public Court, is the fort’s final sector. Built of white sandstone with exceptionally high domes, this is where kings welcome mandarins and subjects.
