National Parks
Carlsbad Caverns National Park

Carlsbad Caverns National Park lies in southern New Mexico, near the Texas border. This national park is made up of around 119 limestone caverns in the Guadalupe Mountains. On a trip to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, you may visit the fossilized caverns, stroll through canyons and plateaus on the park’s surface, or witness the famous bat flights from the tunnels at twilight.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park is adjacent to Carlsbad Caverns, so you should see both on your road trip from Austin to Las Vegas. While there aren’t many conveniences or comforts at this park, it does boast a plethora of trails that lead tourists through stunning mountain and canyon landscapes. Canyons, summits, salt basins, reef fossils, and other natural wonders may be found here. At Guadalupe Mountains National Park, you may also visit the ruins of a historic stagecoach station and take a tour of a restored ranch.

Lake State Park

Inks Lake State Park in Texas is adjacent to the Colorado River’s Buchanan Lake and Dam. Inks Lake is a Colorado River bend that is ideal for swimming, boating, scuba diving, and paddle boating. You may fish from your boat, the shore, or two strategically positioned piers. Another enjoyable pastime during the trip is in the park is geocaching, which is using a phone app to locate certain sites across the park. Inks Lake State Park has something for everyone, whether your hobbies are high-tech or low-tech.
Bottomless Lakes State Park

Bottomless Lakes State Park is not far from Roswell, New Mexico. While its lakes are not, of course, endless, the blue-green water in them gives the impression of enormous depth. A trip is completed when you have water sports like diving, swimming, and kayaking are popular in this area. On land, tourists commonly stroll, bird-watch, and photograph the park’s diverse flora and animals.

ABQ BioPark

ABQ BioPark is an Albuquerque complex that contains a zoo, a golf course, an aquarium, a botanic garden, and a beach. It is close to downtown Albuquerque and the Rio Grande’s banks. The zoo itself is about a century old and home to around 900 species from all over the world.
