The beloved pooch has become a hit with visitors and is now getting the love she deserves after being rescued from Tennessee with a damaged eye.

The five-year-old pug had arrived at the animal rescue organisation Pets Are Worth Saving (Paws) in November. As well as a permanently injured eye she had painful oozing skin tags (small growths that hang off the skin). Her damaged eye was removed to alleviate swelling and infection, her skin tags and rotten infected teeth were removed and she underwent surgery to help her breathing.

The part-employee, part-sofa spud now spends her days happily sitting next to guests in the lobby, escorting them to their rooms, riding the lift to the NoMI Garden dining area on the seventh floor, or even sitting in on staff meetings. Described as being a “sweet, plump couch potato”, Parker was found to be the perfect fit for hotel life as she was friendly but not over energetic or aggressive.

Visitors often pose for photographs with the canine and ask to meet her when they arrive at the front desk.

She even has her own luxury doggy bed at the pet-friendly hotel.

Staff are in charge of her care 24 hours a day and a number volunteer to take her on walks, feed her at scheduled times and dispense her daily medication.
