Tea was first imported and drank in France from the 17th century. At first, it was mainly drank for medicinal reasons but soon it became so popular that ladies of the aristocracy started to enjoy it daily. Although this hobby quickly declined in France after the Revolution, a number of salons de thé and tea companies still found their ways to flourish until present. Today, the French salons de thé are trendy places where friends meet to enjoy delicate and refined tea. While the black tea is mainly drank, the young generation like to discover new flavours and enjoy the infinite possibility of the tea variety.
