Ascott celebrates 20th anniversary of Somerset Grand Hanoi and Somerset HCMC

On 8^th December 2017, in Hanoi, CapitaLand’s wholly-owned serviced residence business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott) today celebrates the 20^th anniversary of its two serviced residences, Somerset Ho Chi Minh City and Somerset Grand Hanoi.

Since 1997, Somerset Grand Hanoi and Somerset Ho Chi Minh City have been accommodating worldwide travellers and residents, establishing their names as the top international standard serviced residences in the country. This year, the two properties celebrate 20 in style, with a series of activities honouring their rich past and bright future.

Crowned for ‘Leading Serviced Apartments’ by World Travel Awards for four consecutive years since 2014, Somerset Grand Hanoi and Somerset Ho Chi Minh City have been recognized internationally in setting industry’s standards. Both properties have also been an active player in Sustainability Initiatives, which are about meeting current needs while at the same time preserving and contributing to the future for generations to come. The efforts include essential projects like preserving water, recycling and managing waste, as well as calling on guests and residents to donate food, clothing and educational supplies to help local communities in need.

The two residences also support, organize and facilitate charity events that raise funds for a number of good causes, such as Annual Somerset Charity Bazaar, Car Wash, Eco-bag campaigns, just to name a few. So far, over 800 underprivileged school children in remote areas in Binh Phuoc, Nam Dinh and most recently Hoa Binh have been aided.
